Two cars meet on the lonley ice road running between Yellowknife and Detah. These roads are essential for much of the transportion needs of the North. They are both extremly boring and extremly exciting to drive depending on the time of year (as thus the conditions of the ice)I was told by a truck driver that on the northern roads with the big rigs you can hear the cracking and shifting ice the entire way. It's when the noise drowns out the radio that you have to begin to worry.
