So, when I reached Blake, my confidence gone and the
exposure making the fuzz on the back of my neck stand up,
we decided to bail. I won't get into the wonderful events
that transpired, but I will say that it was...interesting.
We rapped a tree frozen in the ice and proceeded to the first belay
station that we didn't see on the way up(we chose to link the first and
second pitch - bad idea!). This picture gives an idea how high we are
above Squaw Bay. The long approach mentioned before gained us about 200
feet above the water - beautiful view.
