Finally the good stuff. This is (we think) a new route that we aptly named
Gradfather Clock (about 30m). We finished it in 2 pitches with me
leading P1 and Blake, thankfully, taking P2. P1 is moderate with a couple hard moves
that follows a very asthetic (although thin) crack up a corner. When I pulled through
the moves at the top onto a large ledged to assess the next section I immediately
decided to make an anchor and bring Blake up for a "second opinion." There
was one obvious line, and it looked really good except for how thin it was
(for me...us?) and how wonderful the swing into the corner would be if
one of us fell! Blake, here, is racking up for P2 while I'm looking at
the opposed brassies that make up my anchor (rubbing my head
and hoping) - pink tricam to the rescue. For Blake's lead, read on.
