In 2006, the Crocker Memorial Committee established a permanent trophy in memory of Sturg Crocker.

To be eligible for this award, one's boat must be at least 25' in length, have a valid PHRF Certificate, and must compete in the event under the boat's Rating.

Skippers competing for the S. Sturgis Crocker PHRF Memorial Trophy are scored on corrected time, and are not eligible to win either a Class Trophy or the First Overall Trophy.
