Jorge Aperocho has just finished a great repair and total refinishing of our deck. He used to do finish work at one of the boat builders in our area. He works in the tall bay building at Dalhousie Pier Marina.

Jorge's price was way less than Wiggers Yachts. He did the whole repair and refinish for less than Wiggers wanted to just spray the deck. Sorry no pictures. We also talked to Waterline Systems, but didn't feel we'd get the flexibility we wanted.

We talked to Randy Borges at Waterline Systems. They build Farr 30's, Farr 40 and J105. They put us on to the P Board material to replace old core ruined by mositure. No compression yield, no water absorption, and bonds well with resins.



Sarah & Tim are from two great sailing families well known, liked, and admired on Lake Ontario. They were neighbors and friends even as children. Both are life long and very accomplished competitive and cruising sailors.

The large ports Sarah added to AVALON make the boat very bright below decks and provide wonderful extra air circulation. AVALON is a real beauty below decks with many unique and practical additions.

Sarah was a key member of the organizing Committee of the Toronto 2006 World Rendezvous. Tim gave a fabulous and invaluable seminar at the Rendezvous about diesel fuels and diesel engines.

Tim gave a similar seminar to INA members at their meeting to found Great Lakes Nonsuch and to found the West-Lake Ontario Fleet.
