February 03 - Diamond in the Rough

Obviously not gem quality, but a nice example of an octahedron,
diamond's favorite crystal shape. The trigons on the surface
are positive proof that this is diamond rather than some imitation.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Hello,
I would like to use your octahedron diamond picture in a maths exam. Could you please inform me about its scale or true rib length. Thanks in advance for your response. Greetings,

Is this still with your 4mm wide lense? Excellent! Interesting effects on edge.

Wow! I thought it was a calcite crystal at first, but a real diamond, wonderful.

This is excellent Neal! I thought it was a tin-type when I looked at the thumb.
