WARNING: ex--MKT depot of Humboldt, KS. I drove in, with a second enterance,
and didn't see a residence, just a lot of clunkers about. Drove up to the
depot on northwest corner, stopped for a few minutes, snapped two quick photos,
and drove forward along the northern side, stopping to snap another photo so I
could leave, and bam, here comes a van, blocking my exit. He was yelling and
screaming at me, and told me to leave. Said he worked 40 years for the MP and UP,
and everyone was out to steal his stuff. Said there was 10-12 guys from Penna,
who came in, once, when he was gone, and had a lot of his stuff out in the yard,
talking about selling it all. All I saw was a sorry broken-down depot, with no
windows and open doors. I saw nothing outside or inside of any value. No protection
for anything inside. I may be in the wrong, but when I drove 700 miles, and no one
seen, I will take the shots and leave. The old Boy Scout way, leave no trace.
Did not get out of the car, and was leaving... He followed me out and then
honked so he could rant more at me... Probably a good place to avoid..
