when you were a kid, didn't you think seals were kind of cute lovable creatures with little flippers, like in a cartoon.
think again! i was shocked to see the claws on this guy!

it's their gentle smile, and big eyes, that fools us...those big claws do paint a quite different picture though...admire your persistence, capturing so many stages of this encounter..
