These are "Red Hot Pokers" in North Carolina. The photo was taken using a 36mm extension tube mounted between my camera and a 70-300mm Nikkor zoom. The camera was mounted on a tripod due to the low shutter speed and using a remote release to minimize camera movement. I processed the RAW file in Nikon Capture 4.4 and just adjusted the exposure and contrast. I then transfered the image to PhotoshopCS to reduce the file size and used Nik Sharpener Pro set to Display at 35%.
