The Liberty was built in 1924 and served as a vaudeville and movie theater. It was purchased by the city of Eunice restored and reopened in 1987 as the Liberty Center for Preforming Arts. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
Every Saturday night there are performances on Cajun and Zydeco music in the style of the Grand Old Opry. Cajun French is the predominant language, but enough English is included so that everyone will understand,
