Acadia Parish - Estherwood - Hoffpauir house

The Hoffpauir house is also known as the Estherwood Manor was built in 1905 by Ellis Hoffpauir who moved to the rural area in 1899.

The railroad opened the rural area to development after it's spreading westward from Lafayette.

The Hoffpauir house is privately owned and is not open to the public, however it is listed on the National Register of Historic places.

As the current owner of Estherwood Manor, I would like to correct the informaion regarding the building of this home. We have documentation that proves that prior to Ellis Hoffpauir "purchasing" this home, there were two previous owners.
