The park is located near Morgan City but well off the beaten track, on LA hwy 70

It is a very quiet peaceful place located adjacent to Lake Palordue. There are trails amongst the woods where one can sit and meditate. You are inside of the last remaining river swamp in the United States. the Atchafalaya Basin.
