Vermilion Parish used to pride itself as bring the dairy capital of Louisiana. In fact the Louisiana Cattle Festival was previously named the Louisiana Dairy Festival until a few years ago.

As time passed, most of the small dairies closed down. This WAS the last remaining small dairy business in Vermilion Parish, It too has since closed.
