Bossier City did have some history in the Civil War, this back-yard monument is dedicated to Gen Robert E. Lee.

While Gen Lee is most noted as the commander of the Confederate Army, what many don't realize is that he served for over 30 years in the US Army as an engineer and also as superintendent of the West Point Military Academy.
