This is the mother red footed booby. Just behind her feet you can see the white ball of fluff that is her chick. Also note the closed eyelids. I was probably five feet away from the mother when I took this picture, who is sitting right beside the nest with her chick, and yet she shows zero concern about having a human standing so near.
