At 4:30 a.m. we arrived at Genovesa Island, 75 miles north of Leon Dormindo, AKA, Kicker Rock. I know it was 4:30 as my bed is next to the anchor's chain locker. We are anchored in Darwin Bay which is an ancient volcano caldera where one side has collapsed and opened to the sea. We are back in the Northern Hemisphere and will spend the day "up north" at two sites. The first is called Prince Phillip's Steps where we will climb up to a flat plateau and walk across the south east arm of the caldera. In the afternoon we will land on a beach where we will have a chance to walk and swim.
