VULTURES IN EXTREMADURA

Vultures are common in this area, and mainly in Monfragüe Park.
We can find three species, Monk or Black Vulture (Aegypius monachus), Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus), and Eurasian Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus).
The first species nests in huge structure in trees, whereas the two others nest in cliff ledges.
The Egyptian Vulture is migratory, and winters in Africa. Both Monk and Griffon Vultures are resident in their range.
