This unexpected trip to Extremadura was again a great moment.
The Spanish Imperial Eagle is now visible every day in Monfragüe Park where it breeds.
This time, we saw first the female, perched on the favourite dead branch near the cliff.
She was waiting for something and looking around when she starts crouching slowly.
On the right, we saw the male approaching and joining her.
Then, step by step, the male still approaches while calling softly.
Finally the copulation occurs on the branch.
We can see here the conspicuous white leading edge contrasting with the dark brown plumage.
It was a great moment and a beautitul hope for the future in the Park.

The eagles are always at more than 200 metres from us.
