The view is toward the monument of the Asenev's. The first two horsemen are the brothers Tsar Asen and Tsar Peter. The horsemen behind are Tsar Kaloian and Tsar Ivan-Asen II. The four Bulgarian Tsars under the rule of whom the country has been the most prosperous. The monument was comemorating 800 years from the second Bulgarian kingdom.
