To do the pictures of Glojenski monastery, I had to visit it twice. On my first visit, the monastery was engulfed in fog, yet the puctures came out quite nice. The second visit was to show the views of the monastery from a distance, as well as to show the views of the distance from the monastery.
An old manuscript once treasured in the monastery, told of the Kiev Prince Glozh banished by the Tartars in the 13th century, who was granted lands by Tsar Ivan Asen II along the river Vit, in the vicinity of the present day village of Glozhene, near Teteven. And so the story goes ...
