Porcupine

A large-bodied, slow-moving rodent having a unique natural defensive system - 30,000 quills. They are actually specially modified hairs.
Contrary to popular belief, porcupines cannot impale people, or thier pets, by "throwing" their quills through the air.
(Thank goodness - because that was in the back of my mind the whole time I was standing roughly 10 to 15 feet from this guy!)

That’s what you get for watching the Denver channels.
If porcupines were shooting quills they would have been killed off with the wolfs!
Oops! Look how that turned out! Do you think they would reintroduce porcupines?
I was talking to a friend of a friend's cousin’s friend who was
talking to one of his friends about porcupines.
He said that porcupines may be slow but they ain’t dumb!
He said they are kind of stuck up too!
Just pointing out that if you were covered with quills, you would have to be your own best friend!
He said porcupines think they are the best looking critter in the woods.
I guess the don’t look at their reflection in the lake ether.
It was like talking too what’s his name from the Wild Kingdom!
I know! I know! I didn’t know! Did you know? Who knew?
