We spent nine lovely days in China. The weather was good but was on the warm side,
especially the days in Beijing. It was 97 degrees the first day and went over 100
the day we climbed the Great Wall.

We spent our first 3 days in Beijing, the next 2 days in Xian and rest in Suzhou and Shanghai.
It has been 21 years since my wife and I went to China the last time. How things have changed!

The old alleys (Hutong) in Beijing were replaced with freeways and skyscrapers.
Everywhere we went, there was construction. Out with the old and in with the
new western style things. As the locals in Xian told us, if you were gone for
a week or two, you would not recognize this place!
