Ubehebe, Death Valley

A similar scene was shown on yahoo today. It was 128 degrees and car engines failed. This a crater caused by a meteor roughly 3000 years ago. I and a few others went down to the bottom . Coming back up was somewhat harder.

Not a very hospitable place but a terrific shot to get. Cannot imagine climbing up from the bottom.
