An image of innovation with Vise Grips. Beautifully composed with great detail and a superb value range. A perfect subject fo black and white which I think helps convey the various textures. My guess is that this is from a very old truck? So well seen and captured my friend. VVV

Looks like they definitely have a grip on the situation. Love the light and shadows and the tones.

Vise-grips are very handy tools, as can be seen here. V

Cool shot. Well observed and photographed. Like several others who have commented, I have seen this done. Opening the door is one thing, but rolling down the window is another. "V"

A very graphic 'industrial' image. The tones and clarity are marvellous, superbly photographed and processed.

Nice find! Back in the 70’sand 80's I owned several what would be collectible trucks now. Most of them were in really good shape and I wish I had them now but then you could pick one up for a few hundred bucks. The last one was a great truck but someone had “been in it”. Meaning they worked on all the moving parts and didn’t put it back together right. Anyway when the window handles striped out because of they didn’t attach them right. I did this! I had some needle nose vice grips in my tool box and clamped those on. I was working really long hours then so I didn’t have time to mess with it! It was fast, cheap, and easy! They never came off. V

If this is a car show, this is no doubt what you call a "Rat Rod" and those are a permanent fixtures for the type.

Not the cheapest solution as a pair of vice grips are kind of expensive!
I have seen it done though. This is a great find and a super interesting image
