Dia De Los Muertos

This was painted over a few days ago. The newspaper reported it was flaking and fading. I looked at it and it seemed fine to me Maybe it was too graphic.
I looked at the new painting which I will post tomorrow

Very cool... good taggers could be put to work doing signage like this..... hope that's not a Mexican restaurant with a name like Day of the Dead 8-)

A fascinating, beautiful and informative mural and you photographed it so well. Really like the way it incorporates pre-conquest calendar glyphs, such as the band at the bottom which represents movement and death. There are many other symbols, the butterflies are the spirits of dead warriors and the woman with the snake skirt is Coatlicue, the primordial earth goddess. "V"
