After seeing the poorer part (I guess) of Tripoli I came across the downtown area. As you can see, there are no women.

I've never been, but I would suspect that little would have changed, including the sex of the people roaming the plaza.

an exotic scene...keeping the women hidden away seems archaic thinking...the local men might be very insecure types..
