This was taken on my third day in the Navy. I had been flown to Wheelus Air Force base in Tripoli on a military flight. This turned about to become a 6 day trip through Naples and Athens to catch up to the ship I was to serve on. It was an adventure. Years later when Gadaffi came in power, Wheelus was closed.
