Finally! The yard gnome gets to have a good time. He actually belongs to my daughter's friend. My daughter and her husband periodically kidnap (gnomenap?) the little fellow when they travel and take photos of him in various parts of the country. Sometimes ransom notes/emails are sent to the owners, with threats of torture. It's really all in good fun and the little guy always makes it home safely!

In this case, "Gnomie" is actually in my back yard, not Hawaii. But, it does make a rather whimsical image. ISO 800, with no post-processing noise reduction. Taken with a Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens. EXIF indicates "no flash", but reduced fill flash was provided by the D300's on-board flash unit.
