The photographs were taken on a "safari" to the Shetlands Islands 2007. The islands have spectacular and varied coast lines famous for their sea-bird colonies. The gannet colonies on Noss and Hermaness and the puffin colony at Sumburgh are especially interesting, but the islands offer many other North Atlantic wilderness and cultural experiences (weather permitting).
