Rough-legged Hawk

I try not to venture into its safety zone to avoid stressing avian or wildlife! Well, in this case it ventured into my safety zone, thus the reason why I'm missing wing tips.......

He just wanted to check you out!! Great shot. A real treat to have them fly by that close. I like being able to see the detail of his legs/talons etc. that you don't see as well farther back. Way to seize the moment!
