Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah

Brave photographer at the very edge of an unprotected 1000 foot verticle drop, moments after a major rain shower. Note the distance of two tripod legs to the edge along with quite possibly a heavy backpack. Certainly does not leave much room to manoeuvre...

Interesting to see, but this appears to be a foolish risk for minimal advantage when using a tele-lens anyway.

Now that's scary but a really great candid. I'll bet your shot is better than his because you have the human interest in your shot. Terrific job with this image! V

Nice capture, Jean. I always took my backpack off when I was that close to the edge when I was there --- and my backpack wasn't nearly as big as this fellow's. There are lots of unprotected vantage points in that viewing area.

Terrific image, Jean! I wonder if the risk is worth the reward??

A marvelous candid. The terrain is so rugged and I love the yellow of the photographer's jacket against the reddish stone. V

Nice candid of the brave photographer. I have to admit I have done things like this and wondered why later did I put myself in the much danger. :-) V

A great shot, how long did you wait checking to see if he was going to fall? Nothing like an " action shot" oh dear that sounds terrible. V

I wouldn't go anywhere neat that edge! Good shot of the intrepid photographer and great view of the spectacular terrain! V

Brave isn't the word I would use to describe this person... too much risk for the shot - just step back 6 feet and zoom more.
