Loch Lomond Scotland. West Highland Way walk - June '08
On Sunday 8th June with the West of Scotland University we combined a cruise on Loch Lomond with a walk along one of the most scenic stretches of the West Highland Way. The vessel left Tarbet for 45 minute cruise to Rowardennan on the eastern shore.
Disembark at Rowardennan for nine mile walk north to Inversnaid through Craigroyston in the heart of MacGregor country in the shadow of Ben Lomond.
Enjoy stunning views across the loch to the Arrocher Alps and north to Ben Lui. The track is a pleasant walk amongst Atlantic Oak woods and fauna, with an abundance of wildlife, birdlife and feral goats.
We re-embarked at Inversnaid for leisurely half hour cruise back to Tarbet with a complimentary beer or wine served on board to celebrate your achievement.
