Comparative test with
- Tamron SP AF 14mm F/2.8
- Minolta 16mm F/2.8
- Zenitar 16mm F/2.8 + M42 confirm focus adapter for Minolta Alpha mount. (Sony...)

Same position on the tripod, Adjusted the exposure to have almost the same histogram. Locked white balance. Pictures taken in RAW, and PP in light room Beta 3.0 : + sharpen, + clarity + contrast.

I think it is a question of $$$. From the Zenith to the Minolta you have what you pay for. I have travel in Germany with the Zenith in very light pack and this lens bring me beautiful memories :-)

Thanks I really like your web layout it made comparing a breeze : )

I would like to say that personally it pained me to admit the Minolta seemed the least distorted, more contrasted and overall more natural of the three despite the plastic housing... As I'm a huge fan of the Zenit 35mm cameras and the rugged metal build they seem to of maintained.

I was wondering if your preference was ???
