I just saw 2 of these birds for the first time in Hazlehurst, MS. One appeared to be a female as it was not as brightly colored as the other.

We live in Florence, Al. We have been seeing this beautiful blue bird, tiny it is. never before seen this little tiny beautiful blue bird before. We started looking up birds to see what kind it was and where it came from and found this page. I sure hope it does stay. The bird is enjoying seeds off my yard on the fresh new grass.

Just saw an indigo bunting in our backyard in Deatsville AL. He or she is beautiful. First time I have ever seen one. Seems to be eating the seeds off our bluegrass.

The Indigo Bunting should be found throughout most of New York state.

We live in Jay, NY in the Northern Adirondacks. We have a pair of the Indigo Buntings that have been feeding at our Feeder. Male is stunning but as usual, female not quite as colorful. Keeps preditors looking at males during egg sitting period. Such a stunning bird. Eastern Bluebirds in box in back yard so we are fortunate to have such beautiful birds in our yard.

I had 5 of these in our yard the day Tupelo got hit by the tornado. Had never had that many at once. I feel like the area storms took them off of their normal paths, and they were migrating through. So happy they did.

I also just saw what looks like some type of finch but it is pure blue - it was at my finch feeder eating thistle seed. Is this a blue indigo? At first I thought we had bluebirds, but no orange breast at all on this bird. I live in Pekin, Illinois.

Hi,
I recently saw a similar bird to Indigo Bunting but lighter in color. I'm dying to find out what kind of bird but haven't seen in bird book. Perhaps a young indigo?

Can I send image to you and see if you might know? Great photos that you've taken!
