Cones Forecast (01-11-05)

Cones on the Fir Tree speak louder than the warm sun of this day, telling of an expectation of cold so intense as to be life threatening to the species. Locals who have lived here for most of a century say that they have never seen so many cones! The Douglas Fir and the Sitka Spruce are loaded with them. This seashore is not likely to go into deep minus temperatures, but to sustain a chill that persists
considerably longer than usual.

What an interesting and entertaining story Muriah. You sure do have a lot of pinecones there. Hopefully the cold won't last too too long.
