Lunar Eclipse, Oct. 27th, 2004

The eclipse started at 21:14 EST. The weather was clear up till 22:50. The clouds came and obscured the view. I was lucky to capture the moon gradually faded away. The names of the image denotes the time when the picture was taken; sometimes with the shutter speed, e.g. 2220_1s.jpg means the picture was taken at 22:20, with shutter speed of 1 second.

After 22:15, the moon has faded so much that I had to take pictures using shutter speed longer than 1 second. This revealed the reddish, eerie image. The last picture is a 15 second exposure; which showed an airplane flying below the moon, with its navigation lights blinking

Enjoy!
