Two weeks from now this snow will be gone. Last summer this little pond was home to beaver family. I really enjoyed watching them venture out into the woods to cut saplings and drag them back to the pond. Most of their work was done after dark or just before sunrise; too dark for good photography, but fascinating to watch. Sadly, the pond this spring shows no sign of the beaver clan. I think they have moved on. The pond will dry up without their constant work to keep it from leaking.
