Ron,
What I really enjoy about these challenges is sharing the comments, critiques and opinions. It doesn't really matter if we agree or disagree, it just good to know that someone took a look and a second pair of eyes always helps (at least they've always helped my shots).

Thank you Plamen and Bob for helping me to become a better photographer!
Plamen,
I wanted the contrast between the unblemished and the weather worn so I wouldn't consider losing the second one (presumably the smooth one).
Bob,
I had considered this crop but was worried that it would be too symmetrical and static, not to mention a little 'corny' and I don't think I even tried it out. Having now done so, the symmetry thing is offset by the textures of the columns and the uneven background and I like it better.
Cheers,
Ron

Plamen, which is the second one? :)
Could also crop thru the left one so it more-or-less mirrors the one one the right - sort of like that famous face/vase illusion, but with a worn/smooth twist.

Good! Good conrast between two columns (and distant background). I wonder how it would be without the second one.
