I like the concept but I'm not sure about the execution. I like the composition and how the strands lay and fill out the frame. But even at f/8 the dof is to shallow. I think so spot healing brush to clean up some of the dust would help as well. I think the image could also use a bit of contrast, saturation boost and sharpening.
