Thanks for your comments everyone! Bob - I have plenty of these marbles so I probably could find purer ones, I agree the spots can be distracting. Funny idea with the frying pan - I got to try that, hope I can do it this week and maybe post the result here..!

This is great - I like the bold colours and the 3-way composition. As already mentioned, Jupiter and Saturn come to mind.
Suggestion: Perhaps lighten the marble on the lower right just a little, or at least reduce the contrast between the marbles?
Mike.

I'm in with the rest - this is the better shot. To tell the truth, I'm kind of on the fence about the imperfections/bubbles in the glass. The large on in the middle of the dark marble looks great, like a satellite/moon around a planet. But some of the brighter ones, especially with the fringing are kind of distracting. Do you have any 'purer' marbles to try with?
OT - a fun marble trick I learned as a kid -
Put the marbles in a fying pan, heat over medium heat (for a while??) swirling occasionally. Then dump the marbles in a container of cold water. They shatter - well, they really stick together, but develop really nice patterns or crackle lines.

An Excellent Image. I agree with Bugzie, this is the better. Should also be in MC 76 along with DPR MC#20. Stunning!!!
