Waves - by MCsaba

You need a bridge like this for such a shot, and we have 7 ones here in Budapest.

Tech note: End of August is not really the proper time for a shot like this, when the lights are suitable, it is already too late and most of the traffic is gone.

Thanks for the comment, Alain. Normally I would also crop the two sides, but for the theme "Framed" I like this version better. MCsaba

Good entry, MCsaba. The framing is obvious, but what about a version in which the left and right are cropped more, such that the bridge structure would act like a real frame (at least on three sides ?) Just an idea, maybe it doesn't work out afterall

Thanks Veronica - if I kud spel, eid haf fownd it.
In any event, it isn't kitsch to me.

And, these posts are supposed to be comments - not drive by shootings. No rule that you have to like the image, no rule that your critique be glowing. But I thought these comps were about sharing images and learning from others (what you did right, what you did wrong, what you could do to improve the shot etc.) A curt dismissal doesn't acomplish any of these goals.

"kitsch - art in pretentious bad taste" or, in other definitions "vintage".
I find NEITHER in this eye-catching view of night bridge traffic. You must have hit a good time of day/night because of the patterns of lights as well as minute details in background. Where were you standing?

What does "kitch" mean?
I really like the lights, the curves and the nice sense of motion. The bridge makes for a strong frame.

A kitsch photo.

Great angle of view! The lights from the traffic flow work well here.. Just enough to make it interesting, but not enough to oversaturate! Exposure is spot on. Nice!

There are hills by the riverside. MCsaba

Great picture none the less. Is there some building you were able to go up on to get this angle? JeffryZ
