Robert, good shapes and tones and interesting variety of instruments. I like the variation in lighting across the background for some added interest, almost lilke a gradient across the back of the scene.

Excellent shot. The three instruments together works nicely from a compositional perspective. Beautiful depth/color on the instruments. I am not sure the bricks work as well, they are a little too close in color and for me, detract somewhat from the main subject.
Richard.

Very nice warm tones and color of the instruments. The brick texture or rather the shadow of the joints to me are still a little disturbing. I believe it is caused by the more direct light on that part of the wall. You might be able to select them and then lighten them, but it will take some time, at least if it was me ;o).
All in all a nice picture and a like the new cropping better than the previous one.
Cheers Peter

Thanks for the comments! I have reprocessed the image with your suggestions in mind.
Roger, I believe the biggest problem in the texture variance was due to the angle of the camera to the brick wall. The left portion was in sharp focus, while the right was out of focus. The best solution I could come up with was to blur the left side as much as I could. I think this helped somewhat. Thanks for the suggestion!
Ord, You were right about cutting off the top of the left Mandolin, but a difficult solution..I opted to include the top plus a portion of the strap, and this seems to work much better. Thanks!!

This is a good idea - I had not thought of instruments as tools until I saw your picture. I really like the warm colors, and the lighting on the instruments. I am not sure about the one on the left having the top few inches cut off, but I can't offer a better suggestion; If it was cropped higher, it might seem strange that two instruments are shown completely and one partially. If it was lower, the head of the one on the right would be up against the top of the frame.

I like the lighting on the instruments, with enough reflections to suggest a high polish without destroying the glow of the wood. However, I find the change in texture of the background from one side to the other somewhat distracting. Regards, Roger
