Half Blue by Ord

Montreal

These two girls were participating in a parade celebrating St-Jean-Baptiste day.
The blue costumes with the large white baloons represent the colors of our provincial flag.

Thanks Bob & John for the comments. I have been palying around a bit with the cropping, not sure yet how it works best. I will have another look at it. -Ord

This is just a nice, pleasant picture. Not a lot of the razzle-dazzle that many of the entries have, but a very pleasing human interest shot. I might play around with the cropping a bit (no specific suggestions as I don't know what's been cropped to date) just for fun. Other than that, I like it a lot.

Nicely done Ord, but perhaps it should be 'double blue', which I guess would be safer than talking about a pair of blue beauties. The positions of the heads balance the image well and I like the fact that one of the girls is looking at you and one is looking across. I'm not so sure about the front girl having her arm cropped behind and below, but there's plenty more to look at. John

Thanks igb. I took your advice and cropped it a bit tighter, and also cloned out some distractions from the background. -Ord

I love the freshness of the two girls and also the contrast of beauties and attitude. I wonder if filling the photo with the girls (i.e. cropping it just over her heads) would emphasize the aforementioned. igb

Thanks for the suggestion - I have added a portrait of one of them from the other side, I am not sure yet which one I like better.

May be a closer portrait from the other side of the faces would be even more interesting. MCsaba
