Very dramatic. Nice composition.

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. Shots of the pier are usually South facing, which doesn't always make for the most promising light and/or skys. But I was lucky with the sky that day, with the clouds adding a nice sense of drama.
Regards,
Richard.

fantasic image. The clouds just add such drama to the image adding to the feel of "abandoned". well done. Marc

Nice shot, shows the foreboding this important monument faces. Less than 2 years ago it still looked like this: www.westpier.co.uk/photos/historical/images/Image10_jpg.jpg

Let us hope it has not in fact been abandoned, but merely remains old.

Cheers

Richard, this is a fantastic image. I agree with Claudio about the sky, it really adds a sense of foreboding to the picture. Great stuff.

Cheers, Matt.

Wow, this must be the biggest abandoned thing in this challenge :-) Well done capturing this one Richard!

Hi Richard,

Ahh, I remember reading about the collapse, but it's a differnt thing to see it...It's a good image, with the sky making it even more dramatic.
