Hugo by HenkH

Markt, Delft

Hugo Grotius (1583-1645) is one of the founders of international law, but in the Netherlands, he is mainly famous for his daring escape from Loevenstein castle in a book chest. His statue has a prominent place on the central market in Delft.

Very well done for contrast and sharpening. But from the shoulders up the focus does look a little out.

Well seen and done anyway.

he looks a bit worried but perhaps he is still planning his escape. :) I like the way
the light falls on the intricate folds of his robes and the blue sky behind is just the
ticket to make him stand out.
