Solar Energy by Azure Feast

Saint-Tropez, France

I happened to be in St-Tropez for a few hours. I just had to take the picture. No post processing at all, just a bit of croping (thanks to some good advice!)

Marc,

Love this image on it's own merit. Interesting take on the theme.

Hi Marc,

Nice entry ! I love the colors in this one, they seem very natural to me. About the cropping : I thought JDU mentioned the bottom of the pic, rather than the top (referring to the dull road...). I saw the original some days ago, so I can't really judge it anymore.

Alain.

As you will have noticed, I have cropped it a bit.I have also tried the rotation but, for a number of reasons, it didn't help... Marc.

A lovely shot with a high contrast - a shaft of light may have met the theme better but this was an excellent spot and well done.

I agree with JDU that a little cropping probably would not go amiss to tighten up the area of 'focus'.

Oh, to just happen to "be there" at San Tropez, France...Well, some of us can dream. Anyway, are you familar with the term "passive aggression"? To me, this beautiful image defines itself as "passive energy". Lovely.

G'day Marc, quite serendipitous. Glad you saw this scene and took the opportunity to capture it while you could. The fleeting nature of the natural lighting of the door fits the theme ok. Well composed too. Had you considered rotating anticlockwise a little and trimming to near the top of the gutter to get rid of the dull road? Cheers, John
