Hi Carmen,
Now I can see your pic as a lovely one without having to imagine its potential. Well done. It's much more bold and engaging this way. Linking to the old version is a good idea too so that viewers can see the story of how to get from the start point to the finish point with the commentary in the comments talking viewers through it.
Cheers, John
John, I appreciate your comment, it was very helpful. (The original shot was taken on a cloudy day and I just rubberstamped the original color in without thinking. Changing the background really washed it out further.) I bumped the color saturation up and increased the contrast which just to my eye helps enormously. I also cropped it in closer which I think works well (?). (The original is still here: Bumblebee ). Thanks for the advice. - Carmen

Hi Carmen,
As a bug macro fan, I'm attracted to your pic. I think I'd prefer the colours to be a bit bolder and maybe your framing to be a bit more interesting, but the basic elements are certainly there for a great pic with good focus on most of the bumble bee and a variety of background shapes and textures. Thanks for posting.
Cheers, John
