Sunglasses would work well. The shiny reflective kind. Cool idea.

I can see what you were aiming for and again it's a very interesting idea. For me it seems a bit strange that the person is not actually looking at the sunset and has their eyes closed... also I think a slightly deeper DOF would help to get the glasses sharply in focus.
