...is spring thaw and a 4X4 by Steve Hiscock

Two young guys burned at least a half tank of gas driving (sliding?) up and down this dirt trail. At first they thought they were in trouble when they saw my camera:) I told them I just wanted some pictures, so they made a few more laps before they took off, smiling the whole time!!!

Reminds me of my old days doing car rallyes. Ahhh the joy of it.

I can understand your comments niamh! Believe me, after watching these guys go back and forth, back and forth, doing donuts and then getting out of the truck and admiring all the caked on mud, there was a degree of joy. I should have followed them to the car wash and taken a photo of the car wash owners face when they had to pay to clean their truck...that may have been a picture of joy :)

I like the way the car makes a splash of colour and is framed by the trees and I like the "action" feel of the mud being thrown up, but... I wouldn't have guessed this was a joy shot if you hadn't captioned it - I'd have assumed they were waiting for some roadside rescue folks to haul them outta there... ;)
