Hi Peter,

The strong diagonal composition af all the elementes (sand, footprints, stairs) work perfectly, and the change in scale makes my eyes focus on the girl reading alone. I find it gives a very good sense of alone (both physically and deeply concentrated in her own mental world).

I really like this one. Great composition. The meeting of the man-made to the natural and the angles make the shot very interesting. Addresses the theme whole heartedly. Very contemplative. I would consider cropping the top and left just a wee bit.

This is definitely a good idea. Well composed. The only thing that I do not like is the washed out area on the coat.

My eye immediately sought out the girl on the steps, then just kind of meandered throughout the sand. This creates, for me, a strong visual impact. Certainly keeps to the theme. Veronica

Another good 'alone' picture Peter. The composition is nicely done, and the theme comes through very well. The lines in the sand beyond the subject interfere with our view of her, however. (picky point).
